Project Cost: $280 million

Construction Cost: $250 million

Northside Hospital relocated its Canton hospital campus to a new 70-acre site. The 500,000 sq. ft. hospital provides a full array of emergency, surgical, and radiological services plus a Women’s Services pavilion. The 110,000 sq. ft. medical office building houses the NSH Cancer Institute, an Outpatient Surgery Center, and multiple physician practices.

Collins Project Management was involved from concept to completion of the new campus. We developed initial project budgets, facilitated design and preconstruction efforts, and represented NSH users and administration during construction. We were an integral part of the transition team that planned and executed the move of equipment, staff, and patients.

“When we were about to construct a 125,000-square-foot medical office building, Andrew Morgenthal reviewed the architect’s plans and recommended a few revisions. The result was 3,000 more square feet of usable space. That’s one of the many reasons we have worked with Collins Project Management for more than 25 years. Whatever construction challenge we face, I can always depend on Joe Collins to say, ‘Don’t worry, we got this.’ And they do.”
Steve Aslinger, Director of Facilities Planning
“Andrew Morgenthal at Collins Project Management acts like the best Northside employee. He is fully invested in our success. Andrew consistently adds value to our projects by making recommendations that other engineers and architects hadn’t considered. We can count on him to identify unnecessary costs and hidden gotchas. Whenever I work with Andrew, I am confident that every angle has been explored and we have chosen the best solution to meet our current needs and our future needs as we continue to grow.”
Katie Pearson, Director of Operations
“My company designs signs and wayfinding systems for hospitals, stadiums and other public spaces. From the first time we worked together in 1993, I knew Collins Project Management was different. Whenever they are involved, the project goes so much smoother. Joe and his team are skilled at understanding the nuances of each team member’s personality and the client’s industry. They know how to motivate us and help us prioritize so we can keep focused on our tasks. And that makes everyone’s life easier.”
