ST. JAMES UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

Alpharetta, Georgia

In 2004, St. James United Methodist Church celebrated the opening of its new facility on Webb Gin Road. The new building provided an 800-seat Worship Center which also serves as family life/recreation space, classrooms, offices, a kitchen, and playground. Development of the site involved working around an environmentally sensitive stream buffer. The building was highly cost effective due to the creative use of a pre-engineered structural building system.

Due to the continued significant growth of St. James, in 2009 the parking facilities were expanded to provide an additional 120 spaces. The entire campus is served by an underground storm water detention system and the runoff from the parking lot utilizes environmentally appropriate filtering technology.
